Homemade Cajun Garlic Butter Steak Bites w/ Mashed Potatoes & Fried Asparagus
Ingredients
- Cajun Garlic Butter Steak Bites
Ribeye steak (cut into bite-sized pieces)
Montreal seasoning
Garlic Lover seasoning
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves fresh minced garlic
Green onions (chopped)
Cilantro (chopped)
Red pepper flakes
Cayenne pepper
Cajun seasoning
Paprika
Worcestershire sauce
- Mashed Potatoes
Gold potatoes (quantity as needed)
Butter
Heavy whipping cream
Sour cream
Seasonings (e.g., salt, pepper)
Chives
- Fried Asparagus
Fresh asparagus
Breadcrumbs (seasoned, with Parmesan added)
Plain flour
Eggs (seasoned)
Parmesan (shredded and grated)
Lemon juice
Ranch seasoning
Hot oil (for frying)
Directions
- Cajun Garlic Butter Steak Bites
- Cut the ribeye steak into bite-sized pieces and season with Montreal seasoning and Garlic Lover seasoning.
- Heat a pan and sear the steak on both sides until nicely browned. Remove from the pan.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté minced garlic, chopped green onions, and cilantro.
- Add red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, paprika, and Cajun seasoning. Stir to combine.
- Pour in Worcestershire sauce and mix well. Return the steak to the pan, tossing it in the sauce.
- Mashed Potatoes:
- Boil gold potatoes until tender.
- Use a blender or masher to blend the potatoes until smooth.
- Add butter, heavy whipping cream, sour cream, and seasonings to taste. Blend again until creamy.
- Top with chives and serve.
- Fried Asparagus
- Wash asparagus thoroughly and snap or cut off the ends. Let them sit in water until ready to cook.
- Set up three stations:
Station 1: Seasoned breadcrumbs with added Parmesan.
Station 2: Plain flour.
Station 3: Beaten, seasoned eggs. - Dip each asparagus spear in the flour, then the egg, and finally the breadcrumbs.
- Fry in hot oil for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Top with grated Parmesan and a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
