Homemade White Chocolate Strawberry Blondies
Ingredients
1 box of strawberry cake mix (about 15 oz)
½ cup of unsalted butter, melted
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup white chocolate chips or chunks (adjust to your preference)
Optional: White chocolate hearts for topping (e.g., Hershey’s Pink Cookies ‘n’ Crème Hearts)
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 or 9×9 square baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined. Fold in the white chocolate chips or chunks, adjusting the amount to your liking.
- Press the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until the blondies are puffed up and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake if you prefer fudgy blondies over cakey ones.
- Immediately after removing the blondies from the oven, press additional white chocolate chips or chunks onto the surface. If using white chocolate hearts, let the blondies cool for 10-15 minutes until the surface is slightly warm to the touch. Then, place the hearts on top so they melt just enough to stick without losing their shape.
- Allow the blondies to cool completely in the pan before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy! 🍓
